CAP Walk 2019
DMMF Kids
We are so excited to announce the first ever CAP (Children of Addicted Parents) Walk! Registration opens at 9:15 and starts at 11AM.
It is pretty well known that New England has been hit hard by the opiate epidemic, and often times those who suffer the most are the ones that are left behind. DMMF Kids is dedicated to financially assisting children left behind with whatever they need. We have helped children with school supplies, clothes, dances lessons, camps, athletic equipment, Christmas gifts, and many more! The services we provide for these children are uncapped.
We are teaming up with Glenn Troy and Elizabeth Haley for this walk. They were put in touch with us by the mayor’s office while looking for a foundation with a mission like ours to help support. There are so many foundations that help the addict or alcoholic, with little financial support for the families left behind. We are also teaming up with our main sponsor, the Claddagh Fund, to put on this fantastic event. We are so excited to join forces and put on a great day for an even greater cause.
We are seeking donations for this event; All donations are accepted, appreciated, and tax deductible (TAX ID: 10148766). Please consider helping us put this event together while also marketing for your business. The walk will be held on Saturday, October 5 th , 2019. We will start at University Park, 65 Sidney Street in Cambridge and end at the Boston Common where there will be speakers and refreshments. Participants will be able to make their own teams or join a team and fundraise for their particular team. All proceeds will go to DMMF Kids.
